My name is Emilio Places - Rey I Established this boxing club in October 2009 it was a project that I wanted to make reality.

I was a teenager from the street that was always in fights for all the wrong reasons in Dundee mostly because of my name was different.I use to try and keep myself to myself but it made no difference so I had to fight. I know what its like to get bullied I know what its like when people make fun out of you I know what its like when you feel like there's nobody else in the world to turn too. Life can be very difficult for some teenagers and older people I have had over 10 friends and know many more that have died.

Life can be a very hard game for some of the people from the streets. I have had a real hard time putting this club together but I am not into politics but it dosen't really matter. The goal is to help some of the guys into boxing and give them something to focus on and put something back into the sport. I am trying to help myself and help others within reason that if you want to do something in life you should go for it. But its not going to be easy and there will always be people trying to put you down but there will always be people trying to put you up. Its not how hard you can hit its how hard you get hit and keep moving forward that's how winning is done.

We have Legend Ken Buchanan supporting us he is the best boxer that has ever been produced in Scotland and became a WBA world lightweight champion in 1970 with an MBE and Hall of Fame in the USA.You couldn't do what he did in 3 life times now he is our mentor which is excellent for helping the guys at our club.
